After students learn the basic features of Perl and gain experience in writing typical applications, they will inevitably start re-inventing the wheel--unless they know that a large body of free reusable Perl code already exists, and how to make use of it. This course provides an overview of the freely available Perl Modules and gives students an opportunity to work with some of the more generally useful ones. The instructor will discuss some classic modules from a variety of categories, as well as some interesting new ones. See http://TeachMePerl.com/courses/perl/perl_mods.html for additional details.
